Villa Florita is located right on the Orchid Bay main beach, locally called Caleton Grande because it is so large. Dotted with coconut palms and other tropical flora, the beach is covered with a smooth golden sand. Swimming and snorkeling are possible off this beach but as with any ocean swimming you need to be aware of the currents and the weather.
If you are a golfer you will be even further interested in Villa Florita. It is located only 7 miles from this highly regarded Playa Grande Golf Course. The course was designed by the renowed Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and is widely considered his crowning achievement in the Caribbean. One of the nicknames for the course is the "Pebble Beach of the Caribbean" due to its soaring sea cliff and magnificent vistas.
In addition to the Caribbean golf destination, within a few moments drive are some of the most beautiful beaches in the Dominican Republic.
